For this week’s teacher feature, we interviewed the yearbook and math teacher, Mrs. Nicole Kutzner!
Q. How long have you been teaching?
A. 18 years of teaching
Q. What classes do you teach?
A. I teach Algebra I, Algebra II, and yearbook
Q. What college did you attend?
A. For undergraduate I went to Westminster College, where I got my degree in mathematics. And then I went to Pitt, where I was an MAT student, and got my Masters of Arts in teaching and my teaching certificate.
Q. Favorite school subject?
A. Math! That’s why I’m a math teacher!
Q. First car you ever had?

A. I drove a silver S10 Truck. In the wintertime the back of my truck used to always fishtail so my dad made this really embarrassing mechanism that he put in the truck. It had buckets of sand and I had to drive with that. He called it “the winter traction device” and he said it would help keep us safe. I remember all my friends thought it was ridiculous that I had to drive around with this in the back of my truck.
Q. How long do you think you would survive in a zombie apocalypse? How would you die?
A. I would survive a really long time. I would survive because I really love being in the woods and being alone and doing my own thing so I think I would be fine. I think I would be good at hiding but I think I would also be good at fighting zombies. I think I would survive.
Q. If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
A. A grilled cheese sandwich. Has to be cheddar cheese, though and I think some quality Italian bread.
Q. Most irresponsible purchase?
A. Probably handbags. I change my handbag for the season or the holiday. So i definitely have a problem with buying handbags.
Q. All time celebrity crush?

A. I am a really big WWE fan and I think I like Randy Orton.
Q. What is your favorite student slang?
A. My favorite student slang is probably “sigma”.
Q. Use your favorite slang in a sentence.
A. “What the sigma?” “Sigma, sigma, sigma.”
Q. Dream job as a kid?
A. I wanted to be the next Vanna White. She was the lady on wheel of fortune who touches the letter and she got to wear beautiful dresses.
Q. What fictional character would you want to be friends with and why?
A. Scooby Doo! He’s a dog that talks. Plus you get to solve mysteries when he’s around which sounds so fun!
Q. Would you ever join a reality TV show?
A. Halloween Baking Championship. I am an expert on Halloween and a pretty decent baker!
